Coach Danielle

Congratulations, Coach Lisa on winning the Kinetix Internal Challenge

I got the best news today: I lost the challenge...to Lisa.
YAY!

She will look so cute on her own zip banner. I can't wait to see it. When she said in her blogs that she had never finished a challenge before, and that she had not ever considered setting sub 20% body fat goals for herself, I was like, "This girl has to be pushed. She has to do this. She has to win this challenge." So, every bit as much as I wanted to win, I really wanted to see her win too. I even voted for her for first and second place! She says I helped her out. That feels good. I like that I had something to do with helping such a dear sweet person as coach Lisa to help her find the champion within! She takes such good care of others, it was awesome to see her taking such good care of herself.

The challenge was really a great experience for me in a lot of ways. I wrote in my blogs all the time how the motivation to get my own banner was propelling me through the tough times of trying to hit 19 and 2 every week. I wrote about how learning to cook and eat real food was the best experience; that I could trust carbs again, after having lost a lot of weight on diets before.

But the best part of all was walking in the shoes we put out for our clients. Coach Jeremy said it was a good experience for him, if only to be able to say that we wouldn't ask our clients to do anything differently than we would do ourselves. WORD up, Coach Jeremy!

I am 100% glad that I did the challenge. And I like the yoga suit picture Thor took of me. And I loved being part of the team, during the challenge. I am happy that I took good care of Greg while living with him, cooking the recipes and dining out less frequently, hitting the weights together in the evenings.

Anyway, cheers to you, Lisa. I am so very happy to say that you are my friend.

And I am super happy to say that you are the 2009 Kinetix Challenge Champion!

That yoga suit is smokin' hot- and that lady in it isn't too bad either. Congratulations Danielle- you totally inspired us all!

Danielle , what else can I say but I love you?
One of the things I have learned in the past 12 weeks is that when you open your mind and your heart to change, it will come. It might not be from the places you expect it, but it's always out there.
I was just thinking back to when I started Kinetix and the way all of the Coaches made me feel, especially David, James , and Meagan and Myrissa. (no one else was at the gym that early!) I always felt empowered , as if I had no limtations , and you know what ? I still feel that way! The messages you tell yourself and that are told to you by others are a very powerful force. SO once again my favorite quote of "Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle " rings true!
Congrats to all Challenge finishers! I want to write a blog , but I am seriously Busy busy busy.. so please know you aren't getting away without a blog about all of my learnings.. :)
Number one thing is.. I am not holding back.. not anymore. Not with my friends, not with my family , not with myself. It reminds me of the saying .. What would you do if you knew you would not fail? ..OR
"When you ask me what I came here to do , I will tell you ... I came to live out loud!"

And CONGRATS to you as well, Danielle! I missed the awards ceremony, but word has it that you won the 1st runner up prize this afternoon. I know the zip banner was your original motivating factor, but look at all you gained from this experience. Congrats also to Justin (1st place) and Jeremy (1st runner up) in the men’s division!! I have such respect for each one of us that pushed ourselves a bit harder for the 8 week stretch. Thanks Coach James for organizing this event!!
