Hanging on to the edge of December, it's easy to start thinking about what lies ahead in 2009. I am ready to make my top ten list of goals like many others are doing here.
I am ready to do it alright.. this week especially since I have had some extra Free Targets. Getting "off track" always makes me highly motivated for some new goal setting.
I would like to take a minute before doing propeling into the next year, to look back on what has happened this year. If Ilook back , I feel like I can be in a better place to look ahead.
So here are my:

Top 10 of 2008.

1) Job Change
I had an opportunity to do what I love in a new way! Changing from K-Concierge to a Client Support Coach has been one of the most satisfying things I have EVER done. I can't say I have ever been happier. People changing their lives, with my support ? It's the stuff dreams are made of!
2) Moving
I had to move from a house I lived in for 12 years to an apartment . This was a HUGE pain, and it's always a eye opener to see who your friends are that help you move. (thanks everyone!) I basically simplified my life in every way, by getting rid of "stuff".
3)Survived a year with teenage daughters in tactThis may not seem like an "accomplishment" but to those of you who have teenagers.. you'll know what I mean.
4) Completed a Half Marathon
Yes, I walked most of it, but man! What a feeling! I am totally having that on my next year list.
5)Missed only 10 workouts
This is a big deal to me, to know I have really nailed down that habit. Not only because it makes MY life better, but helps me to help others overcome scheduling challenges for fitness.
6) Back in the "Game"
I have ummm.. well.. put myself out there socially again. I have met alot of people and had a heap of fun ( I sure miss summer!) . As a result recently I have met someone special .. and am thinking I may be ready to tackle a "real" relationship. Amazing!
7) Made Kinetix Nutrition part of my Family LifeI was at the store , and all of the sudden it hit me ,I don't NEED a list any more every time I go shopping. It is engrained in me. I know what to buy , my daughters are not expecting anything else any more.. no struggle with that. I don't hear anymore of the " We don't have anything to eat, it's all KINETIX food" bellyaching.. now they create simple combinations and know more about nutrition than ever before. That is an awesome acheivement, in my mind!
8)Maintained my success
I'd love to say that I have had a loss of Body Fat for this , but the reality is that I have maintained , and not progressed . This is because I haven't vigorously kept my journaling and K-Counts accurately. I know what to do to move forward and that will be reflected on next years goal setting. But hey, maintaining is better than I used to be .. so the habits are there for the most part. YOu get out what you get in. And I put more effort into my socail life for awhile and my progress or lack there of shows that. NO regrets, just moving ahead.
9) Built New Bonds
I can't tell you how much I love this team of people at Kinetix. I feel blessed this past year to really deepen relationships with my coworkers and strengthen the ties that we have. I could tell you what I love about each and everyone of them, but I'll save something for another blog :)
10) More of Me
This is the year I feel like I have figured out so much more of the "Who am I ?" question. Through some exercises like Strength Finder 2.0 and a good stiff look in the mirror, I feel like I have a better grasp in what makes me tick , and where I want to put my strengths to work in the next year. That is HUGE !
I "dwell in possibility". (one of my favorite quotes).
So there are my things to celebrate..
I 'm ready to make some new goals now.. look back , look around, look ahead!

Lisa...I love that you took the time to reflect on the past year. Your accomplishments are many and worth being proud of!! I believe that too often I'm guilty of planning ahead without taking the time to reflect and celebrate what I have achieved. Thanks for the reminder...I'll be doing some of my own reflecting while I'm away next week.

Lisa. This is awesome. I love that you took the time to reflect on all the wonderful things you accomplished in 2008! Sometimes, it's just too easy to rush through the holidays and not appreciate everything we have done. Love it!!
