I have heard the grumbles more times than I can count and in more versions; “I hate to cook, I wish I could cook, it’s hard to cook!”… all effectively meaning the same thing-“I don’t like to follow a recipe”. But here’s the thing; following a recipe and following it accurately means you can cook and cooking a good balanced meal means success and that puts you one-step closer to your goals.

You get out of your food exactly what you put into it, hmmm …just like exercising. The clients and coaches, who reach their goals, cook and follow the Kinetix recipes closely. Well...except for Coach James-he eats the same thing everyday!

So I see your Challenge and raise you one; spend as much time and thought on your food as you do your exercising. Cook dinner every night for one week, following one of our recipes. At the end of the week, you will either really hate cooking or you’ll find you had even better results than the week before when you just "kinda sorta" followed the nutrition plan.

Here is one week's worth of our top rated recipes that are full of flavor and so super easy, that even James can make them!

1. Taco Salad
2. Burger with Sweet Potato Fries
3. Skillet Enchiladas
4. Macaroni and Cheese
5. Turkey Waldorf
6. Coach Gerry's Adobo
7. Arroz con Pollo

So drop me a note and let me know how you did!
Buon Appetito!

This will be HARD! BUT I will try to do some of the vegetarian entrees like Sloppy Joes and Veggie Pizza. I'll try vegetarian pizza tonight! I don't feel good so this will be a double challenge! :)

I love it! I've been trying lots of new Kinetix recipes since I started the challenge last week and I remember what fun it can actually be too. The recipes are so good and when I use them, I realize how delicious eating K-Balanced can be when you take a little little time to prepare. Thanks Holly for the inspiration.

Great blog H. I love the challenge of making a Kinetix dinner every night for one week! You're so right in reminding us that we get out of food and exercise exactly what we put in.

no worries James-the average cook only has about 10 different recipes in their repertoire-you just need a few more to break even!

Hollyce, I appreciate you challenging me! What can I say, I am a creature of habit, once I get into a routine I stick with it. I am however willing to branch out & will most likely start with the Taco Salad or Coach Gerry's Adobo....baby steps!

All joking aside I do enjoy cooking Kinetix meals, I just prefer to stick with those that are quick & easy for me like the Cinnamon Oatcakes & use the Building Balanced Meals tool for many of my meals.

Our dear Coach James eats chicken, brown rice and usually broccoli-though with my influence he may be branching out more!

Thanks for the recipes. I have made 3 on your list and another is on tomorrows menu. They are easy (especially the taco salad) and all taste great! The Pork BBQ buns are another really easy dish. Thanks for the tips!
