Summer is here and that means BBQ’s (another four-letter word)!
Resisting the allure of communing with friends and family over a red-and-white checkered tablecloth in the warm weather months is impossible if you’re anything like me.
It may seem a bit overwhelming incorporating the Kinetix lifestyle into the picnic environment with all the tempting grilled food and Jell-O salad. But fear not! I have come up with four simple and handy strategies to ensure your Kinetix success while loading up on your plate and on the good times!
1.
Bring a K-BALANCED offering to the meal.
With recipes like
Glazed Steak Kabobs and a
K0 Romaine Salad with Garlic Vinaigrette, or one of my all time favorites,
Citrus Grilled Chicken, a balanced meal will be available for all your alfresco dining experiences.
2.
Focus on the People
People are what make gatherings fun. Instead of bringing your plate back for a second helping of Aunt Sarah’s Potato Salad, bring your sparkling personality and effervescent energy to the table (feel free to go back for second helpings on this)!
3.
When in doubt, plan it out!
Using your journal as a tool is serious business when you are a social creature like me. Most times, socializing goes hand-in-hand with eating, and meticulous journaling will dramatically increase your chances of success. By forecasting your activities for each week, you will give yourself an edge knowing when to hit those Free Targets!
4.
Think of the Kinetix Community as a big ole summer block party!
The Kinetix Community is thriving like it never has before, and it’s a great way to have some fun sharing tips for handling all the summer challenges! Did you think of something unique that helped you keep moving forward? Put it in your blog! Join in at
LisaB's Big Ole Summer BlockParty. Support is a two way street. The more you give the more you get. So give it up! Help your neighbor, help a virtual stranger, be a pal!
The party is just starting… bring on summer!
