Christine McNamara SUBSTITION mass confusion.... isn't that a song?

Okay so this morning I made the breakfast shake which I really like. Last two times I made it by the book and used frozen strawberries. yum. This time I figured I would use frozen peaches and instead of 1% milk use soy milk 'cause I read if you sub'd soy for 1% in your cereal you go from a k4 to a k3. - after tasting my peach smoothie it had no real peachy taste so I added a fresh peach. Okay, I am proud of myself, doing good, eating healthy... send an email to 'da chef on my new found "proudnes… Continue

Dawn Why we have K- Coaches....

Kinetix Coaches are: There to track us down when we are trying to hide. There to lift us up when we have fallen. There to have faith in us when we have lost faith in ourselves. There to catch us when we stumble. There with a kind word when needed. There with a kick in the butt whether needed or not. ;) There to guide us when we are lost. But most of all I've learned that they are there to be our friends. Danielle and Marcie.. Thank you for not letting me hide. Although I have lost myself, and… Continue

Coach Marcie Why am I craving that?

Are you craving something- chocolate, peanut butter and pickles, chips, cheesy toast, the last cookies on the counter? Obviously, when we go for these goodies, we are most likely having a Free Target. Two Free Targets per week is ok, but what if these cravings are causing us to have more than we have planned for? What can be done?

First, if we want change to occur we have to take the steps forward to create it. Make a commitment to journaling in your Kinetix Journal.

Amanda, Nutritionist VEGETABLES FOR THE NON-VEGETABLE LOVER

A client recently came to me with this predicament. “I’m sorry, but I don’t like vegetables and I know I’m supposed to eat them - help?” Regrettably she is not alone. Unfortunately, she also lives with someone who does not share her interest in cooking healthy K- Balanced meals. Double whammy. So what’s a person to do?

Unfortunately, there is no magic pill that can take the place of eating vegetables. A diet containing a colorful var

Madison Keller Well, I need to get back on the wagon

I got really depressed last fall, and fell off the Kinetix wagon. I gained back some of the weight (but not all!). I have been doing the exercises, but I need to get back into the nutrition portion of it too. I've gotten my Boyfriend on board with doing some of the recipes (he liked a couple so much he sent them to his grandmother!!) - so that shouldn't be too hard. The problem? My own lack of motivation or maybe laziness? Just hard to get myself back into the fitness.

I have b

Daniel Coleman Today is the Day we sit down and make a plan

I am writing this more for myself so I can see changes in not only my appearance but my state of mind as this program moves forward. I am hoping that in 8 weeks I will have a completely different outlook on how I should eat and take care of myself.

As with most families I believe doing this alone would be disastrous for me. If there are cookies and candies in the house I will eat them. So I have tried to get my wife on-board with this program as well because I really want it to work.… Continue

Lyndsey Paul Performance Program..

So Last Monday I started the Performance Program.. I decided that if after the first week it was too exhausting I would just go back to basic journaling since I had that under control. However I found myself pleasently surprised with how well I adjusted to the extra exercise and that I could easily eat a little more.

When Im asked by the customers at work how Im doing I say "tired... but a good tired," Most smile and nod once I explain the changes Kinetix implemented in my life since M

Marcella P. Oh, here she goes...

"Man-eater" lyrics should follow but I feel like it's inappropriate.

I'm the queen of fad diets. I lose tons of weight really fast and gain it all right back. I'm 24 years old and I'm super over it...I haven't looked or felt "fit" since I was a gymnast/cheerleader and the Doc knocked me out of those when I was 17. It's been too long!

I'm late everywhere I go so it would make sense that I missed my first day (vacation). But, I wouldn't have it any other way. I'm so ready and Mon… Continue

Chad Nordby Run Forrest, Run!!!

Looks like I'm a little overdue for a weigh-in

217.8 lbs

27.9% bfp

50% water

SWEEEEEEEET!

Ok, so I thought I wasn't making much progress... things have been rough due to a software roll-out at work which meant I worked about 60 hours last week, going in 2x daily except for my 1 day off and even then I went in for about half an hour... bleh...

Anyway! I got a pair of running shoes (nice little present to myself), there's a new runn… Continue

Coach Camille Looking back...

So, this morning I was talking to Coach Terry and telling her about my weekend. It was sort of a strange Sunday. I was just sitting around, contemplating life...where I'd been...where I'm going. You know, classic Sunday thoughts ;-). I found myself looking at old pictures of myself...not very old, only a few years ago, but definitely pre-Kinetix. Let's just say, a picture is worth 1,000 words, but the only word that came out was "wow". I could not believe the array of transformations I had made… Continue

Tracy Fulton Office Experiment: The "new" water cooler!

Ok - so many of you know my experiment I'm trying today. We have the Filing-Cabinet-of-Doom that sits along our walkway in our office. People bring in crap all the time (mini-snickers, Costco sized Red Licorice, Rolos, etc). It often times looks like we're waiting for Trick-or-Treaters to come. It's practically right in front of my view from my cubicle (I've even moved a plant over to block my view so I won't see what temptation awaits). You HAVE to walk by it coming in and leaving e

Michele Herman The weekend...

Well, not quite as successful as I'd hoped I would have been. Movie night was a blast, but I kinda went a little nuts with food. Cupcakes and homemade sangria. God, what a weakness they are for me. Not beating myself up about it, though. On the positive side of things we DID have a pretty wild game of bocce ball, which was more activity than I've had in a while, so that was good. We really didn't play per Official Rules... rather than roll the balls (like the lawn bowling that it SHOULD be) w

Kinetix Chef Hollyce Cooking Essentials Series Part 6: Understanding Food Labeling-sort of…

In November of 1990, President George Bush Sr. signed into law The Nutrition Labeling and Education Act (NLEA) and the FDA has been policing food labels and making things “easier” for us ever since. Well, sort of. Up until then, only 30% of manufacturers were required to disclose the nutritional information of their products; the rest were voluntary.

Tracy Fulton I (heart) the Quick Snacks Guide

Saturday we held a garage sale....Yes, in the 94 degree heat in Beaverton. Yes, it was financially lousy....but man, the sweat!!!! You'd think I ran a marathon (ok, not really that far). But moving everything from our storage shed across the yard to get it set up. Carrying boxes, saw-horses, tables, ladders. THEN....since we didn't sell as much as we wanted.....we had to pack it all up and haul it all back across the yard.

The best part was how easy the Quick Snack Guide came i

Christine McNamara 1st Weekend

Well the first weekend is upon me. I really only started the program on Wednesday. Wed, Thurs and Friday went good except I had a little trouble on Friday night with gummie bears and dark choc. parrelles. Saturday night was a friends party and I feel that I ate a little to much crap, including a glass 1/2 of wine. It was hard to tell what I really ate as I hate a meal (salmon burger on thin sandwich thins) some baked beans, hummus, fried dipping chips... then a cookie, small cupcake and 1/4 of a… Continue

Kevin Turley Planning for Program Change - PERFORMANCE PROGRAM

I was considering going the the performance program after my last 8 week period with a coach, but the timing wasn't right, so I decided to continue the program I was on until I knew I could dedicate the additional time that was needed to do the performance program the way I needed to. The timing is right and I am planning to start the performance program starting a week from tomorrow.

Reaching out to those who have made this progression, to the coaches, and to anyone else that
