Strong, fit, energetic and loving every minute of it!! That’s me!! I couldn’t have said that when I turned 50. For a woman that had always struggled with her weight, NEVER been athletic or seriously exercised, Kinetix was a life changing gift. I began my Kinetix journey in July 2006 and am enjoying the positive changes in my body and lifestyle. The balanced nutrition and smart workout routines keep me feeling awesome! Being one of the winners in the 2007 Kinetix Challenge was an unexpected bonus.

I was hired as a K-Coach in February 2008 and bring my passion, first hand experience, and enthusiasm to my position. My goal is to help YOU reach your goals, so please let me know what you need!!

In enjoy challenging myself each March by climbing the 69 floors of the Columbia Tower to raise money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Using my abilities to help others is both rewarding and empowering.

The entire K-Community inspires me and I hope that my enthusiasm for this lifestyle will also inspire YOU on your journey.
My Goals:
Outcome Goals:
1. Strengthen low back muscles to provide needed support for all my activities
2. Complete the Columbia Tower Stair Climb in 2009 (Completed on March 22nd in 17:24!!)
3. Finish a 1/2 marathon in 2009 (Vancouver, BC May 3,2009 2:53:32!!)

Process Goals (Habits)
1. I will track all my PT exercises every day with notes on ease/difficulty of each exercise to review with my physical therapist.
2. I will use each new song on my I-pod as a reminder to confirm that I am continually using my core muscles during cardio sessions.
3. I will recognize every small improvement for what it is...a step closer to my overall goals and I will accept minor setbacks as being part of the process.
4. I will continue to learn from my K-journal by tracking my nutrition and exercise...including foods eaten, time, and K-counts along with notes about how my body feels during and after workouts.

Hi Terry, thank you for keeping in touch with me. I've had a remarkable 9 weeks with Kinetix. I lost almost 15 lbs of fat after the four weeks working with Coach Calvin, he is awesome. I am down to 248 lbs, which means I lost 34 lbs since joining Kinetix on 05/04/07, wow, it is unbelievable and I have about 64 lbs to go. My goal was to get down to a size 36 and now I am down to a size 40. As a proud Samoan(Polynesian)we love to eat to celebrate life(which means eat & eat until you are stuffed and you can't move, all you want to do is go to sleep) now I am eating for fuel so I can be around to celebrate the wonderful life that I have. I realize that I will have some set backs in the future, laziness and or being unprepared to eat right. I feel that as long as I stick to the recommended program by Kinetix, I will reach my goals. Talk to you later! Aloha..Aceman

Hi! My quads ache after todays leg raise-ab workout! I need a massage slave like those professional tennis players have that come out on the court and massage their thighs! Hahhaa : - ) I think I've pretty much recouped from my hike, although I was looking at Justin's summit photos of Eldorado Peak which is just to the north-east of where I was! If I would've made it to the top I would've had photos of Eldorado Peak among other peaks! Ah well... next time! Have a wonderful Tuesday, Coach Terry!! You are awesome!

Hi Terry! Just wanted to let you know how nice it was to meet you in person and give you a hug of gratitude for all of the great support. Have a nice time in Kenya. I'll be looking for the photo of a turtle bar with a pride of lions in the background. : )

Coach Terry, Deb King sent me a sample of the shake mixes and all I can say is YUMMM! My problem?? To expensive for me. At $2.91 per serving it's out of my budget. Will you let me know if it goes on sale? I really do love it, especially the chocolate! :)

Hi, I'm back after a 27 day layoff from the bike (and just about everything else!) But it has stopped raining and I had 2 good (short, trying to be smart here) rides in the last 2 days and feel pretty good. I have to get back on track here! But I am coming back gradually a little bit at a time. Just wanted to touch base.

Hi Terry!!! hope things are going just great for you! I got an email about this "KMART" card... is that like "K-mart" the retail store... or is there a Kinetix Outlet now, named K-Mart?
Are you in training for any special events in the near future?

Thanks Terry! I appreciate your encouragement. I plan on hanging in there long enough that you'll be tired of seeing my face here. : )

P.S. I may have to change the profile photo so I don't wear this one out.

Thanks Terry for the welcome and I have just printed your quick recipes! Eating and cooking healthy is going to be a challenge, but cooking anything seems to be a challenge for me....Not my strong suit...So,,,I am learning to cook better and more healthy at the same time. So quick and easy recipes are my best friends for now! Thanks so much for saying Hey, and the support!

Terry thanks for the warm welcome. I checked out the link to Coach Aaron's blog and he has some great recommendations there. I reviewed some of the recipes tha you have posted and I am looking forward to trying several of these. Most of the recipes are easy to fix. I am an early riser, so I have found that making a dish in the morning works great for having it ready in the evening. Plus most of the dishes improve as the flavors have time to blend together. As you so nicely put it, the changes the program makes are ones that we can live with as we contiue our life journey.

Thank you. I feel very blessed to have all 3 of them. We tried our first K balanced dinner tonight. We tried Asian Noodles with Flank Steak it was a hit. My middle daughter is a vegetarian so I had to make some modifications for hers but she loved it too.

thank you for the warm welcome. Unfortunately I am not very good at knitting. I make scarves & such with a knitting loom. This is only 1 of the many types of crafts that I do. I am trying to go thru the recipes. I am still trying to get used to cooking for myself (or rather make myself cook) when my son isn't home from work.

Oh, I forgot to ask...are you doing the Basic Program? If so, are you switching your exercises every 4 weeks? That helps with the boredom factor and hits the muscles from a new angle. Just keep doing those squats...they don't ever change!
Mira... High five for putting that scale away!! Unless it has the ability to measure Body Fat, throw it away completely! Checking your percent body fat on a weekly or monthly basis makes more sense than weighing every day. Real change won't regist...
