Fisrt off..congrats on 22 weeks! WOW! As far as what you are dealing with, it's all part of the cycle of getting to the place you want to go. I seem to be saying this a lot lately, but it rings true for a lot of people...it's not what you do to get…

Kevin, First, it sounds like you have a great plan to keep you on track while you are on vacation. Trying to create an environment where you can stay as close to the program as possible is your best bet and it sounds like you are doing that. The big…

About Me:
I'm proud and excited to say that I am now part of the Kinetix team. I look forward to learning as much as I can from everyone during my time here!

I have worked in the fitness industry in one capacity or another since I was 16 years old. It was always an environment that I loved to be in. I enjoyed seeing people achieve new things that they had never before dreamed possible. Some people want to be able to bench press a house, while other just want to be able to keep up with their grandchildren. No matter what the goal, its always a wonderful experience helping someone reach new heights.

Sharing the Wealth…

A quick back story: I started running more distance type events and doing a LOT of outdoor activities after coming to Kinetx about a year and a half ago. In the time I have worked here I have run my first half marathon, climbed 2 mountains, started rock climbing….etc, etc, etc. My finance Misty loved the outdoor stuff, but never got the running. It’s wasn’t fun for her, and on top of that she had had a reconstructi

Setting the Bar a Little Higher

One of the most important things to learn when strength training is that the only way to get stronger is to challenge yourself to do more, while not exceeding your limits. When increasing your weight and challenging your limits properly, you will gain more strength at a faster rate and accomplish your ultimate goal.
Here’s a couple of tips on how to increase your weights in order to keep the progress going and still maintain good form needed to protect joints:
1.) Find your capacity. Incr… Continue

The Internal Challenge in a nut shell

I've written about my experience a few times on here as the Internal Challenge has gone on, but this is my official summery of my results and how it has affected me and those around me.

I originally started the this competition because I thought it would be a great way to learn more about the program that I make people do every week and see just how much of a change I could make in myself if I REALLY paid attention to my nutrition on a daily basis. I've always been a believer that I wouldn't ha… Continue

8 weeks comes to a close for me...

Well, if I was just to say that I learned a lot about the program and what I put clients through on a weekly basis that would be an injustice to the bigger journey I have taken over the last 8 weeks. So, I won’t just say that...I'll give you the good, the real good, and a bit of the "ugly" too!

1.) The Good: I started at kinetix at 195 lbs, in good shape relatively (I don't know that most people would say that I needed to change anything), but I knew that I wasn't where I wanted to be physicall… Continue

Keeping the momentum going....

So, just as I've asked my group of Guinea Pigs (That's the name of my first team in case you were wondering) I've decided to give myself some long term goals to keep me motivated after the challenge is over.

I've realized that a lot of things that I have always said I wanted to do have slipped past me because I never made them happen, I never planned for them, and I never wrote them down. It's time to put some of my goals into writing so that I have to hold myself to them. Soooo, here we go!

1… Continue

Thanks Justin! Yes I agree wholeheartedly but that is exactly why I want to do it. I want the bride and groom to focus on each other rather than the stressfulness of planning. Not everyone can handle stress like I can lol When I put my mind to something I get it done, which is why I believe this is the program for me :) Already have a wedding for next april. Stay blessed.

Coach Justin,

Today I went into legs 1 meal short so I had a hunrgy tummy to contend with I think mentally I could have hit squats with more purpose. I worked in the fitness industry for 12 years and have been a competitive athlete most of my life. I like your comments on innter strength and the balance of food this program brings to the table (no pun intented). I found our comment about chicken & rice very real to fitness... I too like all the meal choices I am very careful not to fill up by K targets with bars and shakes. This brings me to your question is there anything you can help me with, Yes... I enjoy high elevation hiking and am going to hit the trail this weekend do you have any advice on meal planning? I will be on trail about 4 hours 2.5 up and 1.5 down. Elevation slightly steep no poles required.. Thank you Bobbie Lynn
