Why we have K- Coaches....

Kinetix Coaches are:
There to track us down when we are trying to hide.
There to lift us up when we have fallen.
There to have faith in us when we have lost faith in ourselves.
There to catch us when we stumble.
There with a kind word when needed.
There with a kick in the butt whether needed or not. ;)
There to guide us when we are lost.

But most of all I've learned that they are there to be our friends.

Danielle and Marcie.. Thank you for not letting me hide. Although I have lost myself, and… Continue

Scared and losing faith in myself...

These blogs have been my way to be brutally honest with myself, as well as those of you that choose to read them. I'm still working really hard to not hide when I'm ashamed of my progress, and this is one of those times that I'm forcing myself to bare my soul and share what I've been feeling recently.

Currently I'm very anxious about going camping this weekend. Recently I've let life get in the way, and have used it as my excuse to eat excessively. I've been very disapointed in myself with the… Continue

Lessons of a week long (almost) food bender...

Lesson #1: Just because you can have cookies for breakfast, doesn't mean you should. Even if they sound good at 9am.

Lesson #2: When the food you're eating is making you feel ill... STOP eating it, and eat something healthy.

Lesson #3 (and the most important): Eating anything and everything, just because you want to or can, does not hurt anybody else.. it only hurts yourself and all of the hard work you have been doing.

Sadly.. My week 5 started out strong.. and I could blame Arby's for givin… Continue

Discovering muscles I didn't know existed!

Well I can now officially say that I know where my lats are. lol And BOY do they hurt! What motions/actions in life do I use them for? Because it sure seems like I'm not doing them! I definitely felt them and found them by going with a little bit lighter weight, but making sure I was doing the repititions in full counts... counting slowly sure makes a difference!

Hey Dawn!
Great blog yesterday! I appreciate your willingness to put yourself out there. There are tons of people who are going through the same things.
It's important to keep in mind as you continue through this program that there will be set backs. When we are trying to change our behaviors there will always be times that we will revert back to old patters and behaviors- it's normal.
The great thing is, you are recognizing that now as evidence by your blog. That's a huge step towards moving to healthier behaviors. You've got to know you are doing something before you can change it.
It sounds like you really want to take control of your life and health.. you are doing it. No one said it would be easy, or that there wouldn'tbe bumps in the road.
What do you feel is holding you back from taking control of your nutrition?

I just wanted to thank you for sharing your reflections about your triumphs and struggles during your week. I hope it helps you to put it in writing so you can celebrate your steps in the right direction as well as identifying your opportunities moving forward. Reach out if you need anything!
Also, I just wanted to say I was flattered that you called me an inspiration, how humbling. I have been inspired every day by all the coaches, mentors and people like you who are willing to put it all out there in their journeys to be their best selves. We all live different lives, but we all have something that we could consider a stumbling block, whether it is kids, work, school, etc. We just need to, like you said, take care of us!!
