K-Balanced Eating on a budget

Here are a few tips for eating healthy on a budget--I have to say these came from an article on healthy eating, so this is not my own brilliance, but I thought I'd share it anyways:

1. Limit impusle buys
2. Buy fruits and vegetables that are in season
3. Try house brands (i.e. Safeway Select)
4. Shop on a full stomach
5. Buy in bulk -- I can't say this one enough! Lots of places sell almonds and other nuts in bulk which can save big bucks!
6. Make double or triple batches to use for lunches or… Continue

The YOU you miss...

My entire childhood was spent on the back of a horse. It didnt matter if I was competing or trail riding, I couldn't get enough.
I'm not sure where it came from--neither of my parents rode horses, or even cared to for that matter.
It was MY passion. Mine from the time I was 2 years old. My parents nurtured my… Continue

Some questions to answer that will help you be the best YOU possible!

Some of you are familiar with the concept of creating a SwitchOn Statement. A SwitchOn statement is a series of statements that outlines the life you want to achieve, the motivators that will help you get there, the obstacles that you will need to overcome, strengths you can draw from and strategies to be effective to help you achieve your goals.

A SwitchOn statement helps you by painting a clear picture of your ideal state of wellness (physical, psychological, lifestyle, relationships, other).… Continue

I worked as a Medical Photographer for seven in the Chicago area, helping doctors with any type of photographic images they needed for their work, field of study or teaching in the medical schools. I still to this day sell my images around the world. Google my name and you may see some of my work, even though it has been over 15 years. I got my BA in a special program were you design your own degree present to the board of the school. They then approve it, you then complete the four years and present back to the board to have your degree award.

I am ready to get started and have a plan...

Thanks Vince

Hi gal!! How are you?! Things have been good here...spending this week as a "week 1" in an attempt to get re-focused and more on track than I have been in a while. No more excuses!

Sounds like there has been a lot of fun happening with the internal challenge...what else is new?!
