Have FUN!! Ride safely...I'll look forward to hearing all about it! Don't stress if you are outside your heart rate zone this time...perfection is not a lifestyle. Enjoy the day...track what you did and you will have a baseline for your next ride....

This is cool! I have been looking for something like this. A lot of my K-Pals tell me it's easy to forget to eat so often. This tool can be programmed to send a silent reminder to eat a balanced meal, drink some water, get up and stretch, whate...

Thanks so much Coach Terry! I'm going to wear my HR monitor, this is the first bike trip I've taken since being with Kinetix, and the first big one ever. It will be helpful for me to be able to gauge where I am and find where to push and hold back...

You are so right Like. It takes an AWESOME company to care about their Team members to this extent. In my 20 + years (Oh My!) I have never seen this type of commitment to our health & welfare! Now it is up to us to follow thru and make this work....

Profile Information

City:
West Seattle
State:
WA
About Me:
Hailing from Central New York a short distance from the Canadian border, where it gets more annual snow than Alaska, I began to display a passion for fitness at a young age by participating in numerous athletic pursuits, including track and field, cross country skiing and baseball. The next leg of my journey took me Fort Collins, Colorado where I earned my Bachelor’s Degree at Colorado State University while working for the USFS and was able to continue my passion for exercise by using the sunshine and varied terrain of the Rocky Mountains to climb, bike and hike everything I could. I then traded sunshine and the Rockies for rain and the Olympics by moving to Seattle where I joined the Kinetix team and have been able to share my passion for fitness & nutrition along with my unique sense of humor with everyone I encounter. I can be found most weekends playing outdoors around Puget Sound or volunteering my time with different community and national organizations. Also I like wine and stinky cheese.
My K-Coach is:
Coach Ben
Favorite Exercise:
I might be a little crazy, but for me lunges are the absolute best! This might harken back to my track coach you used to have us do somewhere around a million before we could go home, and now Isubconsciously associate them with goign home, but who knows. I also enjoy pull-ups probably too much and know around 100 different variations that i like to mix into my routine!
Favorite Kinetix Recipe:
Heather's Cinnamon rolls should be call Sin-amon rolls because I could eat the entire batch in one sitting. They're hunger seeking missles that explode deliciousness at ground zero of your flavor zone!
Favorite K-Product:
Right now I'm into the apple cinnamon cereal. As far as breakfast is concerned, old Apple Cinnamon here has pulled my but out of the proverbial fire too many times to count. Thank you K-Cereal, I owe you a solid.

Too bad the turtle didn't cooperate, a headband would have enhanced the photo opportunity tenfold. Had he checked kinetixcommunity.com and saw that there were no turtlesoup recipes, he may have been more likely to comply. :::nods:::

Where does one get a turtle-sized headband? Or, in Shredder-like fashion, were you going to pour some glowing green goo on him and teach him a wide array of martial arts? Should I be suspicious of a Master Splinter complex in the making?

Really, except for curries I don't make too much fancy foods. When I'm cooking for myself I like fast and simple. I have an ongoing supply of brown rice, alternate 4% organic grain fed ground beef, organic chicken or snapper with my basic spices of salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder.

Hi there, thanks for the add!

I have not had the fortune to experience a winter here, as I have only been here through some of May and All of June. And everyone keeps telling me the 'terrors' of cloudy/rainy winters. But I'm pretty sure none of them had to start several mornings shoveling snow off of a roof (car or otherwise) at 5:30 in the morning. Its a nice deadlift/good morning combo workout, but not really my idea of a good time.

I loved your turtle picture! I think he was a bit confused- he was an opposite-turtle, sticking everything out in the face of danger instead of tucking in his shell.

Thanks for the great welcome. I will make sure to ask lots of questions. Jeremy is great and I have no question in my mind that he will help me get in the best shape ever. The program seems fool proof as long as you are committed and I am!

Hot Weather Recipe Ideas

So it is unseasonably hot here in Seattle today, somewhere in the neighborhood of 85+ degrees. Or at least it feels that way because my internal thermometer is all over the place because it’s been so long since we’ve had a stretch of good weather and it’s hard for me to tell. Regardless, of what the actual temperature is, I find myself now faced with the issue of cooking dinner tonight but not wanting to heat the house up by using the over or stove. I thought I would reach out to the greater Kin… Continue

What's K0 funny 'bout snow peas, arugula and zucchini?

Now some of you might be asking what's with the strange title, and to that I would refer you to the great Elvis Costello song (What's so funny about) Peace, love and understanding and encourage you to keep it in mind as a way to remember those very important K0s needed everyday.

The reason I am bringing up K0s is that they are a very important part of the Kinetix plan that often gets over looked. They contain many impo… Continue
