post-workout thoughts

My trainer said something cool to me the other day, he said that "change isn't comfortable" and i like that! it's a nicer way of saying "no pain, no gain". We worked out yesterday and it was a little tough at times, I could feel my legs shaking by rep 15 but afterwards I felt great!! I am a little stiff this morning, we did a lot of work on my quads, glutes, calves and hamstrings, but i know that that discomfort is change--it's something to help me remember and it's not unbareable so i can get t… Continue

slacking on blogging... what week is this?!

Wow, I've been a slacker. I love blogging--its similar to journaling, the more you write your thoughts and feelings and of course what you ate, you're more accountable. Well, i had my kcall the other day and it went great! (archive is at http://kinetixliving.com/programs_overview.php?page_id=4) i think i re-inspired myself and have been working hard at trying to eat kbalanced for the final stretch of the challenge! i did get some k2 bars and YUMMM! omg i highly reccomend them, they're not too pr… Continue

wrapping up week 3 (sorta)

wow this challenge is going by both slowly and quickly all at once. this week was tough for me. starting over the weekend i had a promotion with the radio station where we stood outside walmart all freakin day collecting school supplies. the event was fantastic, in three days we raised $1500 and 1200 bags of supplies. however, i was exhausted, didn't get to the gym, and ate junk all weekend because of minimal break time. needless to say i didn't set myself up for success this week. I've been hav… Continue

week 2 already?!

wow, time flies when you're having fun! i love kinetix, it's so easy to follow it makes this whole "getting healthy" thing seem effortless. but it makes it that much more frustrating when i can't follow it. The past few days have been rough for me (not making any excuses, just blogging here!) between long days at both jobs, and not planning meals ahead of time (my fault). Last night i went to bed at 5pm! i was gonna get up at 8 and go to the gym, but i slept through straight til my alarm went of… Continue

mmm free targets

i love indian food. and that's all there is to it. instead of looking at it as sabotoge on day 2 of the challenge, i looked at it as a fun lunch date, good company, good food. didn't over eat. really relished the free target, and i'm back on track! hoorah!

as i was on the eliptical today i got to thinking, and talked it over with coach gerry too, i didn't realize what a big thing it was, but when i first started kinetix, i could only do 20 minutes of cardio, and my heart rate was all over the p… Continue

Baby steps, Amy!! I wish your interview was still on the site. I'd have you listen to your own words and remember how great you felt back then. You did it with small steps...you can do it again that way. Keep pushing forward. Will you have a K-Balanced lunch today? Tomorrow? Let me know how I can support you. I want you back on top of the world!!! :-)

I just bought myself an elliptical last week! I love being able to workout at home! I've converted my daughter's old bedroom into a gym...weights, bench, elliptical. The only thing missing is a TV! That is next!! Get back into your Kinetix workouts...remember how great you felt when you did those 30 minutes each day....and no trainers needed! :-)
