I left Starbucks in February and am finally getting myself in gear to focus on my fitness again. I am back on the Kinetix program as of yesterday! I have lots of cardio options-even an eliptical at home, but I only have a few small free weights and cannot afford a gym membership at the moment. Are the resistance band kits an option for my regular workouts or do I need to find a way to get to some weights?
Jennifer...First, before I answer your question, let me applaud you for looking for ways around your obstacle and for reaching out here for help. That positive attitude and willingness to ask for help is what will guarantee your success!! You rock!!
Resistance bands are great as a travel option, but there are some other options for home that will give you even better results. Coach Ben wrote a great blog last year that addresses this situation. I'm glad you posted your question, as it gives me the opportunity to bring that blog back into the spotlight. Do investigate his "McGuire" method...I've had many clients turn milk jugs into weight sets. Hey, you might even talk nice to the barista at your local Starbucks, I bet they would save some milk jugs for you. :-)
Ben has a great blog that Coach Terry listed so I encourage you to check that out if you have not done so already. Also the Kinetix travel program is a butt kicking workout that can be used at home as well. Give it a try and I know you won't be disappointed.
